ABOUT ME
I’ve been creative as long as I can remember - drawing, painting, and building stuff are some of my favourite childhood memories. I graduated from Lego to Warhammer, and later went on to study Graphic Design. I moved to Melbourne/Narrm in 2011, and found myself enchanted by its creative energy and artistic diversity - I still feel a constant sense of discovery when I’m here. My curiosity to learn more about the uniqueness of my new habitat led me to undertake further study, retraining in Landscape Design.
When designing a garden I like to focus on the things that matter; connection with family, friends, or community, sustainability, and being inspired by our unique place within nature and in the world. Landscapes should enhance our lives - they are an extension of who we are. I see how the home garden holds a mirror to those who tend to them. Nurturing your own green space is a deeply personal thing, and it allows you to experience nature in a way that’s as unique as you are.
I work out of my home studio in sunny Coburg North, which allows me to be close to my family, and to nature. I watch the ebb and flow of the seasons through flower and foliage as I ride my bike along the Merri - the smell of acacias in bloom holds a special place in my heart. I consider myself culturally attuned to the inner north - so I’m a big fan of a soy latte (or three). And I love reminding people that proteas are about as Australian as the Bee Gees.
